Merry Christmas, friends!
One last blog post this year, filled with some Christmas pics, of course. I simply love this time of year and am sad at how fast it passes...it is really important to savor every last minute...
In past years I have always figured out a spot for my various decorations and so I place them there every year. This year I mixed things up a little and placed items in new spots...a bit of a metaphor in this year, I think, when we are all having to do things a little differently than we are used to!
I know that some people felt that there wasn't much to celebrate this year, but I felt like we needed even MORE cheer to make up for 2020! So even though this year probably won't look the same for many of you, I hope you can make the best of it and let's hope that next year we will all return to normalcy!
Ready for some Christmas cheer? Welcome to our home:
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks for sharing your home, beautiful. I changed up decorations this year also...needed something a little different. Looking forward to spending 2021 with this wonderful group of ladies! May God bless all of us!
ReplyDeleteAren't we lucky to have such a great group of internet friends? That certainly has made a difference in this strange year! Happy New Year!
DeleteI was so ready for some Christmas Cheer! Thank you for that peek into your home and your decorations are just beautiful! Love your trees and especially love the look of the antique quilt displayed into the window. I may just have to make some for my Sister's using my Grandmother's rather tattered quilt that she made. I also love the swan sitting on the shelf! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad that my photos brought some Christmas cheer! And yes, the quilt in the old window was really a pretty easy project so I say go for it!
DeleteI love your home, come do mine anytime you want. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! And if you live close I would be happy to :)
DeleteMonique, your home is beautifully decorated and such a wonderful reflection of the person you are. Yes, things are different this year, but we don't have to let it get in the way of enjoying the season, just in a different way. Merry Christmas to all at your house from all at our house. May this coming year be less challenging than 2020 as we continue to find happiness within and express our creativity however it keeps us sane. Stay healthy and enjoy your snow, Monique. It is always a toss up here in western Washington if/when/how much snow we may have each winter. Always so pretty, especially when it twinkles in the sunlight. Until 2021...
ReplyDeleteExactly Paula, we can choose how we react to the situation. I hope that you and your family had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
