Hey friends,
As I write this, there are exactly 2 weeks left until Christmas! How is it that we wait all year for December to arrive ( especially this year!) , and then WHAM, Christmas is there at our doorstep. And I'm so not ready :(.
Next year, I am starting in September! Please remind me! ;)
I hope you are all ready for Christmas? I still have to finish some projects, but only one is a must. The other one can wait until after Christmas and will be enjoyed next year then. I will do some baking but will wait with that until a few days before Christmas....in a house filled with boys, Christmas treats disappear fast! I have some favorites that I make every year ( shortbread cookies!), but I am also adding some new items to try. I found a recipe for Butterscotch Fudge that looks yummy and easy~ a win-win in my book~ and I might just have to make that one this week to make sure it "is okay"....hahahahaha!
There hasn't been a whole lot of quilting happening over here unfortunately. But I did work on a collage quilt of a cardinal and that was so much fun, once I got over the fear of starting that is! I'm now in the process of adding some stitches here and there and am really enjoying that part!
After I add the hand embellishments, I will quilt and bind it and then it will be ready. I think it will become a wall-hanging, but a pillow is also a possibility!
I love reading your stories...your home is so beautiful with all the Christmas... I have done very little quilting this year...going to try to do more next year!
ReplyDeleteWell it is more difficult without a sewing machine....or at least a lot slower!
DeleteOh I love your collage it is so pretty! I saw a movie on a quilt show how to make collages they look like a lot of fun! Would love to try to make one!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday season!💕
I think that was probably Emily Taylor who you saw? She designed this cardinal pattern! And I hope you do try it one day...they are addictive!
