Next year.....

Hey friends,

As I write this, there are exactly 2 weeks left until Christmas! How is it that we wait all year for December to arrive ( especially this year!) , and then WHAM, Christmas is there at our doorstep. And I'm  so not ready :(.

Next year, I am starting in September! Please remind me! ;)

I hope you are all ready for Christmas? I still have to finish some projects, but only one is a must. The other one can wait until after Christmas and will be enjoyed next year then. I will do some baking but will wait with that until a few days before Christmas....in a house filled with boys, Christmas treats disappear fast! I have some favorites that I make every year ( shortbread cookies!), but I am also adding some new items to try. I found a recipe for Butterscotch Fudge that looks yummy and easy~ a win-win in my book~ and I might just have to make that one this week to make sure it "is okay"....hahahahaha!

There hasn't been a whole lot of quilting happening over here unfortunately. But I did work on a collage quilt of a cardinal and that was so much fun, once I got over the fear of starting that is! I'm now in the process of adding some stitches here and there and am really enjoying that part!

After I add the hand embellishments, I will quilt  and bind it and then it will be ready. I think it will become a wall-hanging, but a pillow is also a  possibility!

This week is a short and sweet blog post, so I'll end with just a few more pics of Christmas decorations around the house. And I knew that our dining room would look fabulous all decked out for Christmas and I was right ;).
Have a great week everyone, and ...
happy creating!
Monique

  6. Hi Monique! I'm not ready for Christmas yet either but it will come whether we want it to or not. Just stay stress-free, if possible. I haven't made cookies yet either, mostly because we will eat them if they're here. Merry Christmas to you and your family. ~smile~ Roseanne
